Sam Winchester Ever since Birch had hotten back, Sam had felt guilty about it. If he had simply let her out when she requested to go look for her children, maybe he wouldn't of been in such a bad condition. The guilt showed through in his action, and he felt the need to apologize to Fawnpelt. He was happy that mother and son had been reunited at last, but his mind wouldn't rest until he had done so. Sam turned off the TV, heading to the room where Fawnpelt was. They hadn't interacted as much as usual since Birch was found, but it was understandable that Fawn would want to tend to her son and nurse him back to health. Of course Dean suggested a good old greasy burger, but that wasn't the best option for someone who couldn't be older than five. Sam wanted to help, but wasn't sure if his actions would be appreciated. She had seemed mad at him in previous days when they first found Birch, but he hoped he could make up for it. He stopped at the doorway, pausing a moment. It probably wasn't best to disturb her, but he needed to do this. "Fawnpelt?" Sam asked, unintentionally holding his breath as he waited for a reply.

Fawn was face down on her bed, tuckered out. Birchkit was her son, yes. But he was still a handful. Sure he listened better than Dean ever would, but he was annoying adult Dean to death. And that out him in a bad mood. Which nobody enjoyed. Fawn had done her best to keep him out of trouble, but right now the mother was stressed beyond stressed.
She rolled over when Sam called her name, staring up at the ceiling before sitting up and pulling her legs in to sit semi criss cross. She sighed. "What?" She asked. The bags under her eyes said it all, along with how blood shot her eyes were. Her voice was stressed and slow, exhausted.

Sam Winchester She seemed so tired, so worn out. He would also blame that on himself for not trying to help out. His breath came out again when she replied after a couple moments, and Sam realized that he was probably stressing about it more than he needed to, if he even needed to be stressing about this. It was a simple apology, why had he gotten so worked up? The male would take a step in the room, still lingering by the doorway for now. He gave a weak smile, like he usually did when he felt nervous or stressed about something. "I just want to say I'm sorry... About not letting you go search for Birchkit." he started, giving a small sigh. "But I'm happy he's safe with us now, and um if there is anything I can do to help look for Dean or help out with Birchkit just tell me." Sam said, softly gazing at the female who currently held his love. Fawn had lasted longer than the others before her, and that was always a good sign.

Fawn usually would have followed his movements. Had she been alert. She was so tired. It seemed almost as if she was staring right through him. She yawned.
"No. You don't need to apologize. I was having a... phase. And leave Dean and Birchkit to me." Her words were slightly slurred together as she spoke, tongue lazily moving. She slouched slightly, tired and broken. Any loud sound seemed to make her skin jump but she didn't react. Her eyes were actually starting to burn and they watered slightly.
She wouldn't bother mention that Castiel would be of more help to the kits than what Sam would.

Sam Winchester She seemed a lot more tired than usual, so much that it was even effecting her speech and posture. He noted that, and decided that no he hadn't chosen the right time to apologize. Sam gave her another smile, a bit stronger than the last weak one. It probably also meant she wasn't thinking like she usually did, and wouldn't reply how she usually would or how she should. The Hunter would walk over to her bed, even going as far as sitting on it the edge of it. "Well you should probably get some sleep." the male said, reaching out a hand to attempt to gently rest it on her knee, if successful and not met with a negative response he would slowly rub his thumb back and forth. They could discuss it later tomorrow morning or something, when she was thinking better.

Fawn was still aware of her surroundings, just her eyes had kinda gone out of focus the world became blurry, she was staring into space. The bed drastically dipped towards Sam and his touch startled enough for her to jump. She blinked, working her jaw to stay awake. She nodded, too tired to even speak. She however didn't just flop down. She actually scooted closer to him and rested her head in his shoulder, seeking some sort of comfort.

Sam Winchester It was a little to late to apologize music reference huehuehue, he decided for sure. Tomorrow was a new day though. When his hand reached her knee she jumped, and Sam wondered for a moment if he had done something wrong, but then realized it was just because she needed to use the sleep. The form of Fawnpelt scooted closer to him, resting it's head on his broad shoulders. He would lean his head down to gently lay on hers, his arm attempting to wrap around her in a way that he thought would comfort her. However, it would also bring her some of his own body heat and possibly make her more tired as well.

Fawnpelt was pulled closer to him and she felt safe. Protected from the world in even sleep. His body heat surrounded her and she felt tired. Her eye lids drooped and she yawned. With this she reluctantly pulled away from Sam and flopped on her side, shifting to dog in the process. She sprawled, comfortable this way. In a few seconds, her chest heaved up and down in a rhythm. Asleep.

Sam Winchester A tired sort of feeling came from Fawn as well, and he wasn't that surprised when she pulled away. He had honestly thought that shifting from human to dog or dog to human used energy, but apparently not. Before the fem fell asleep, even though she fell asleep rather quickly, Sam would lay down besides her and just hope she realized he was there before falling asleep or it would probably seem creepy or something come morning. Sam too fell asleep within a couple minutes, happy to be by Fawn's side for the time being at least.

The next morning, Fawn didn't wake with the sun. Instead like an hour before noon. And even when she did wake, she lay still. She was too tired to even stretch, despite her joints and muscles begging her to do so. She lay there, half way holding her breath and trying to figure out what was happening in the world around her, which she was numb to.

Sam Winchester Sam on the other hand, had woken up earlier, and had decided not to disturb her so got out of the bed quietly. She had fallen asleep like a brick, and definitly needed it. There really was no reason to wake her. So he simply went along his daily tasks, checking in periodically to see if she had woken up. This time when he quietly opened the door and poked his head in, her lime green eyes would show. So Sam opened the door a bit more from the crack it had been opened, and said "Rise and shine sleepyhead." in a friendly teasing way.

The familiar grunted. Apparently he was unaware that that was a command. Sighing, she rose and her shoulders and hips popped loudly, causing her to flinch. She bowed, stretching and a series of pops could be heard. She grunted, stepping out of the bed and onto the floor, claws clicking. She tightened and loosened her muscles for a moment before dragging herself to Sam. She was awake, but still dreary.

Sam Winchester Sam hadn't meant it as a command, as would be obvious by the smile on his face. She stretched, her joints popping so loudly even Sam was surprised. Fawn went over to him, and he would reach out to scratch her ear. "Did you sleep well?" Sam asked. She still carried traces of sleepiness, but he was sure they would fade away as the day went on.

Fawn leaned into his touch, panting happily. She licked his hand before sitting. A dog yawn escaped her, jaw popping as well. She grunted in discomfort and annoyance, laying down. She casted a look over her shoulder at the bed, energy lacking her form for once.

Sam Winchester She seemed s little disgruntled, also not as bright and energized as she usually was. Even if he didn't get a response he noticed her glance to the bed, as if she still wanted to sleep. It confused him, but then again he didn't know that his previous statement had in reality been a command. "Everything alright?" Sam asked, a bit concerned for Fawn.
