Alula shook her head. "Every time I have the dream... something red... blood, I now know it as. It's on the ground... I look up and the ceiling bursts into flames and the last thing that I remember is the scorching heat." She shivered. "I can't remember anything else than that and one other thing..." Her voice trailed and choked slightly. "She spoke so fondly of what I can only guess to be you." She answered, meeting his gaze head on with a confident one.

Dean Winchester So far the story fit with the pattern, but why would Azazel strike again? Last time his attempt to build a physic child army thing failed, surely he wasn't going to try again. A Benedict doll had burned on the ceiling, but Lark didn't show any sort of powers. Dean would crouch down so he was level with Alula. There were so many questions that he wanted answers too, but he would narrow down the questions greatly. It was more of logic that her mother had died in the fire, why else would she be on the streets? "Was your mother on the ceiling?" he would ask, attemtping to make eye contact with Alu. But why would she talk fondly of him? Once his question was answered, he would ask what made her think she was talking about him.

Alula shrugged, making gently eye contact with the man. "The moment I looked up the flames bursted. I never got to see what else happened." She answered, shrugging. She winced, having forgotten of her shoulder. How ever, she would never draw her eyes away from his vibrant green gaze. Her own gaze was fearful, yet relaxed. Trusting him to help her yet again.

Dean Winchester Well, at least she was saved from the experience of having seen her mother on the ceiling. He hadn't, and luckily Sam was too young to remember. Alula seemed to trust him, which was good. Not many people did in the first place. Dean looked down for a moment before looking up, biting the inside of his lip. He shouldn't be questioning her like this, and in the dead of night. But it was almost like there wasn't a choice. "Do you have any idea why your mother would talk about me?" Dean asked, his usual tough voice gentle for once.

//"because I'm your daughter"- TAKE TWO
Alula started fidgeting, tapping her foot and popping her fingers. "I dont know... maybe you saved her once? I recall the fondness in her voice... as she said Dean and that 'Dean' wore plaid." She was struggling to recall, as if the memories decided to slip away from her. She was trying so hard to grasp the remaining memories of what she could only call a family. No matter how hard she tried though, they just continued to slide away.

Dean Winchester He hadn't meant many people, if any, that had the name Dean, and definitely not any who wore plaid. He wasn't sure that a whole lot of people wore plaid anyways. He decided on one last question, and then he would cease the flow of inquires. "Do you remember your mom's name or what she looked like?." Dean asked. It was likely that he had met her before, maybe saved her or something.

Alula thought for a while, struggling to remember somethinf, anything about the woman hi had birthed her. She was reaching far into her mind but couldn't find anything but her voice. Her voice it was so beautiful and wispy. She finally sighed in defeat. "I'm sorry..." She apologized for failing yet again.

Dean Winchester The seconds ticked by, but Dean managed to stay patient as Alula searched for an answer. None came, which wasn't surprising to him. Azazel's likely killed the mom off at a young age, leaving little memories to stay as time went on. "Don't be, you're fine." Dean stated, standing back up. He would try to pay her on the back, gently and trying to stay away from the shoulder so he wouldn't cause her pain. "Come on, let's get you back to bed." he said.

Alula nodded gently. "Right." She agreed with him, stiffening her stance to keep from rocking with his pat. She sighed gently, dragging herself over to the bed. She gently kicked off her shoes and took off her jacket, holding it like a younger child would a stuff animal. This jacket was her comfort, the thing that protected her. She settled down and lightly gazed at Dean, trying to finish the puzzle.

Dean Winchester When Alula shuffled over to the bed, Dean would go with her, wanting to tuck her in. She probably wasn't used to the concept, but it was never too late to teach her. She should have time to just be a kid, even if she looked like she was teen or tween aged. Alula seemed to like the jacket, which wouldn't be a problem. Dean would gently try to pull the blanket over her up to her shoulders, being gentle because of her bullet wound.

What was this new movement he was making? Alula was confused but didn't struggle. She winced a little because of the movement, but allowed him to do whatever. She hugged her jacket close, breathing in the city scents she was so familiar with. Pretty soon the rush of the day caught up with her and her eye lids drooped, sleep tugging at her limbs.

Dean Winchester A warm smile crossed his face. She soon became more visibly sleepy, and he would say "Good night." in a quiet voice, hoping not to disturb her too much. He also felt a little tired, he probably should get back to bed as well. Though he would linger until Alu fell asleep, wanting to make sure that she got to sleep without too much trouble.

This was all new to her. Nobody ever told her good night or tucked her in; her bed was a box. She eventually fell limp, her chest rising and falling with the steady rymth of the night, her mind lulled into sleep. It was a surprisingly no dream sleep for her. Lucky her.

Dean Winchester Poor kid, no one should have to of lived in the streets since they were no older than Birchkit. Dean waited, his green gaze watching Alula almost protectively until he noticed the steady rise and fall of her chest, indicating she was asleep. Surely she wouldn't try to leave again after this, and if so he was good at tracking. The door was open, and he left it like so because it was so creaky and he didn't want to wake Alula, and quietly slunk off to his bed to go back to sleep.
