Pebble's attention had been on her peas, rolling them around with her fork. How did mortals even eat this stuff? She sighed, pushing her tray away not at all interested. She would much rather prefer macaroni. Something moved the table and she looked up to find the kid she had been talking to sitting in front of her. He came to her? Interesting. Confusion shown on her features before he spoke. His name. Carried the same name as the oldest Winchester, did he? Cool! "Well, nice to meet you Dean. Nice name, kiddo." She spoke, offering him a smile.

Dean swallowed rather nervously. He hadn't talked like this in, well a long time. His social skills went down and broke the floor actually. She responded as well, but then from there he was pretty lost on how to continue it. "Uh... Thanks." he replied. It was a compliment right? She smiled so he assumed he was supposed to smile back, and did so weakly. Dean wasn't quite sure why he was talking to her, it would surely end in him losing someone again, but it felt kinda like the right thing to do. Like it filled in a hole he had had in him for most of his life so far-loneliness. Usually it didn't bother him, but now that he was actually talking to someone the young male was starting to realize just how much it had eaten away at him. A silent predator. Loneliness sucked he realized, and had to wrestle his breathing under control to a more normal rate again as he thought about it. So he pushed it back to the corners of his mind, focusing on the form in front of him. He couldn't mess up too badly, right?

Pebble smiled softly at his return smile, finding she was making some major progress. This, is what she had patiently been waiting for. The girl didn't know what loneliness was like; she always had siblings and Kishan to keep her company. Heck, she could practically hear dad screaming for his macaroni. "You like puzzles? I can go get us one if you like." Her brown gaze was drawn to the board game corner. The TVs around them never interested her; it being the news or cartoons for the few kids in here. She drew her gaze softly back to Dean.
