The snow was pristine and hard, allowing any paws to easily step on it. The sled would be easily pulled, the snow having a layer of ice on it. Yes. Any sled dog would love this weather. There was in particular, helping to lead the team. A small dot in the vast expanse of a field, miles ahead of the last team they passed and miles behind the team in front. They weren't even trotting. No. The two in front were running full speed and showed no signs of stopping. The black harness rubbed against her thick grey pelt as the husky bounded on. She was pulling somebody, somebody was slacking and she glanced behind her. "Who's slacking back there?" "Sorry!" Came the voice of the dog in front of Dean. Fawnpelt. However, she was snapping at the dog in front of her to make them move faster. They did, and the weight on Alula's shoulders disappeared. She picked up speed again, brushing against Benedict. "Come on Benedict. We hit the tree line and we can slow." She barked to him, moving faster. The open ground ahead was so... energizing for the lead female.
As for Fawn, she was just in front of Dean. Which meant, she got more weight to pull than Alula. Dean and Sam had it worst, being the wheel dogs but, that's why they were placed back there. They were the largest on the team. However, fawn liked to tease Dean for being a jerk. She kicked snow in his face and if he slowed down, Alula would whip her head around to snap orders.

Sam and Dean were good anchor dogs, they were big and strong and they enjoyed pulling the sled. Dean didn't always appreciate the snow to the face but deep down he understood she was only trying to help. Benedict wasn't nearly as big, not yet, but if he kept growing at this rate he'd make a good anchor dog too. However, for now at least, their positions would stay how they were and they would happily pull the sled. Benedict did tend to tire easily, as he didn't have as much experience or stamina, but hopefully that too would soon change. Her words would help keep him going and he would continue at a steady pace, eyes half closed in determination to reach said tree line.

Alula pounded on, paws slamming against the icy terrain. She started to pull ahead of Benedict, dragging the team. She barked, urging the team to run faster and it worked. They picked up the pace behind her, offering barks of support as well. Alula panted happily as she ran on, the clicking of the harness pulling her on ward to the tree line. However, she pushed it a little too hard and wasn't paying enough attention to her pads. She yelped one was split open farther, bleeding. She favored it a bit, slowing down to a trot. "Well... turns out we're trotting anyways." She barked to Benedict as she tried to make it so the musher wouldn't notice. Yeah... not so good. He called them to a stop and hopped off, moving to check Alula. He checked her pad and shook his head. "Pushing it too hard are ya?" He asked, rubbing her head and earning a happy bark from Alu. He patted her side before getting back on the sled. "Mush!" Alu attempted to take off full speed but had to slow thanks to her pad.
