Orange county dog park was by far one of the nicest.
And the most divided. Many of the dogs just hung out, rolling in shrooms, playing fetch, or, my personal favorite, running in groups like a firetruck. Quite interesting.
But the group we are focusing on first is the Pedigrees. The top dogs, all pure bred. Some had rabies but had this thing that kept them from going mad. They all acted as if their flees didn't bite and they were quite snobby.
They had an Alpha, he ruled the whole park. Dean.
And, as by far the prettiest dog in the bark, was his daughter, Alula. She was found usually beside her father on the top rock. Just below them was Sam and Fawn. Across from Sam and Fawn lay Ham, a big old goofball of a hound. Yet, he also acted like a pedigree. These dogs often held parties including barking at a cat, drinking from the drainage and eating stolen food from the butcher shop. Only certain dogs were allowed.
Not including the mutts.
Now, Alula, she was probably the kindest Pedigree to exist. Sure, she lived with her father in the fancy house with the fancy double doggy door but, she was still kind. She spoke to all dogs or just didn't speak at all. Sure, she was usually found on the rock beside her father but, one the rare occasion she came down to drink from the fountains (don't drink from bowls, just saying), she spoke to anybody who spoke to her. Except for mutts. Because, well, Dean would have them turned into dog food.
She didn't want that.
