He had been possessing the same vessel for a very long time now. When an archangel possessed the same vessel for millennia on end it wore down. He had no need to get a new vessel, if this one broke he could just go freely, until now.
He was a backup. Though don't bring it up to his face or he'd smite you as soon as Angely possible. If Lucifer or Micheal were to die he would ensure that the apocalypse happened. It took a while, a long long while, but the news of Micheal's death came to him and delighted him. Now he got to play a role in the universe, he got to mean something for once. He got to make his mark on the world.
Lucifer knew that his brother would be rising soon, he could sense the disturbances that rippled from Zabdiel, indicating that he was stirring and slowly but surely breaking out. The devil had yet to tell his family, but he thought that he could eradicate the other archangel without causing too much trouble if any. No need to cause an alarm if he didn't have to. So he too would make preparations, sending demons to secretly break the seals of the cage so he could be free. It would take longer to spring him that it would Zabdiel, but Lucifer was a master at being patient. He could wait, Zabdiel couldn't do anything without him.
As Lucifer thought, the replacement archangel was sprung free first. Zabdiel quickly set to work, making his own preparations. He didn't need the new vessel- yet- but felt that it had no harm to make his presence known. That was part of the preparations after all.
And of course, Zabdiel was a sucker for overdramatize entrances. After spending so much time without anything happening, he wanted some drama in his life. Hence why the bunker's doors would be blown down.
CRASH
A whoosh of air would follow the sound of the door being struck down with ease, along with some dust because who didn't like dust and foggy air? The bunker would surely know of his presence now, anyone here would of heard the crashing noise. If he was correct, his new vessel would be here. Alula. His black hair would be slicked back with gel, a jet black suit covering his vessel with a white rose in the chest pocket for contrast. He wore a white tie as well. His eyes would be altered to appear a stark red-though different that that of Crowley's. His eyes were darker red, more blood-red. Zabdiel took a step in, slowly revealing his form. Luckily his vessel had not aged while being possessed, so it still looked the same as it did all those eons ago. "Good afternoon." Zabdiel said simply, knowing he would catch someone's attention.
