Alula gazed warily out the window, biting her lip. Sam had suggested that they all go fishing, and they were. Benedict was sitting beside her, of course in his dogon form. Not that she minded. Alula was more weary of the fishing spot. There could be people or snakes... or rivers. Flashbacks haunted her and she reach subconsciously to pet Benedict. The impala pulled to a stop and the door was opened. Benedict of course dashed out, but Alula was very hesitant to even look out. She saw the familiar coat of Fawn walking past the impala, leaving the other car. Alu bit her lip.
//wow this sucked.

It took a little convincing for Dean to agree, but San was able to do it. He thought that it would be fun, and they they should go. It'd be a good stress reliever if it went the way he wanted it to. When they got there, Sam and Dean would climb out. Dean noticed that Alula made no move to get out and would like his head back in and say "Coming?" Benedict on the other hand was out like a bullet. He didn't like cars at all, and this whole fishing thing sounded like fun. He too soon noticed that Alula wasn't behind him and would turn back, and upin arrival would give her puppy dog eyes and tugged on her sleeve to try and encourage her to get out. He was a little confused as to why she didn't want to get out of the impala, but decided not to ask. Sam on the other hand, went to the trunk to grab the fishing equipment.

Alu blinked the memories away and waved Dean off with a hand. "Yea-woah!" Benedict startled her and apparently didn't know his own strength, pulling her out completely as she struggled to regain balance. She didn't go down, but stood up abruptly. She smiles at her boyfriend, not even having to let her hand reach completely down to rub his head between the horns. He was about at her middle chest with his head now, not counting the horns. He was growing quicker than she expected. Heh. She liked riding him around... looking around at the deserted... pake, as it wasn't big enough to be a lake, but wasn't small enough to be a pond, Alula would gulp nervously at the water. She glanced back at Sam.
Fawn however, immediately backed away when she spotted the water, instead moving to sit as far away from it as possible, tail thumping the ground irritability. She hated water. She'd just watch the others.

Oh crap- he didn't mean to- oh hey she seemed to be fine. Was she really though? Alula had a thing to look like she was fine even though she wasn't. He would press into her side a bit and look up at her in a concerned manner. Should he shift into his human form or would she get the idea without it? Hm. Dean jumped when she suddenly fell out of the car, not expecting it. He jerked his head out of the car but she was already back on her feet. Ok she was good. "Excoted to learn fishing?" he asked, a smile creeping onto l his features. Kid Dean also happened to be there. Water was one of the few things that didn't cause him to freak out. He was unaware that there were many rivers in StormClan, he hadn't been able to explore too much of the territory that one time, and didn't have a bad past. It must of been one of the few things mama fawn didn't show him when he had gotten attacked by the fox. He seemed excited, it sounded like fun. However when he got out of the impala noticed that mama fawn didn't go to lake's edge he would follow her. Even in dog form she was the one present that was most familiar to him, the one he was most comfortable with. Did mama fawn not like the water? Did that mean water was bad? He gave her a worried look, squatting down to sit next to her. There were a lot of fishing poles but he seemed to have the most of it. All of the hooks were off for until they got to the water, just so they didn't accidentally get loose and hook something other than a fish. When he backed away from the trunk and looked for fawn, Sam noticed that she wasn't even close to the water. Did she have a bad past with water? Possibly, it would explain why she freaked out when he tried to give her a bath. So he went over and said "Everything ok?"

Alu smiled, booping Benny on the nose as Dean spoke to her. She jumped slightly, not expecting it as she looked at Dean. Peering at the water, she'd continue to chew her lip. She shrugged. "Sure." She'd answer, seemingly not interested in the water one bit. She had mixed feelings about water. She loved shallow water but hated deep water; she couldn't swim and it brought back some bad memories. She became painfully aware that she could feel Benedict's concern and looked at him in alarm. I mean, she wasn't sure if it was him. But, he was the only one who was even showing a bit of concern.
Fawn would shift as her son squatted beside her, leaning back on her hands with one knew raised. Sam approached and she nodded. "Yeah. Water is just wet. I like being dry." She'd lie.

Dean wasn't showing concern because he was unaware of Alula's fear of water. In his book, everything was green lights. He was excited to teach his daughter how to fish, it was something he thought he'd never get to do. Sure he still didn't have a normal life, but he was allowed to enjoy this right? Well even if he wasn't, he was going to do his damned best to have fun. He grinned at her response, saying "You'll be fishing with worms today, so you shouldn't catch anything too big. Perfect for you. I'll bait the hooks in the beginning so you can get used to casting and reeling in a fishing rod. Sounds good?"
Benedict was excited to jump into the water, must be the border collie in him. Though despite how much he wanted to run around and splash, he knew that alula was uncomfortable with something. What it was, he wasn't quite sure, and his best guess was the water. She wouldn't be afraid of fish right? Alula was far to brave and bold to be afraid of fish. His nose was booped and he gave a smile, letting his tongue fall out of his mouth happily and attempting to give her a lick on the hand. Maybe if he acted happy and positive, it would make her happy?
Sam wasn't quite sure it was just she didn't like getting wet, but he wouldn't question it. If she didn't want to tell him she didn't want to tell him, and he didn't want to force her into anything. Other than basic hygiene, but that was different. He didn't want her getting sick or anything because she was dirty. "Well it's fun to swim, as long as you stay away from where Dean's teaching Alula to fish." with a small chuckle at the end. "So what do you plan on doing if you won't go near the water?" Sam asked.
Kid dean gave a glance up to sam as he came over and asked if everything was ok. Fawn gave the thumbs up, stating she didn't like getting wet. Though he was curious about water, he wanted to know. "Mama Fawn, what's water like?" the kid asked, tilting his head slightly and completely unaware that he was interrupting Sam.

"Splendid." The tee's tone was anything but just that. It was a little off for the usually bubbly and courage Alula we know, too flat for her. It held a hint of displeasure in it, but not enough for many to catch. Maybe only those close to her would get it. Upon receiving a warm, slimy lick from a certain, rough forked tongue, she would look down at her blue-eyed companion, giving him a light rub behind the ears before stretching and groaning. She would then cup her hands around Benedict's cheeks and carefully, as not to harm him, squish them and give a light coo before moving herself to stand beside her father, the resemblance between them strong. "So where we starting?" She asked, affectionately leaning against him, cheek resting on his bicep. Alu often showed her love through touch and determination, despite how different they are. Having not received very kind physical touch as a child, it still amazed her to this day at how softly and gently somebody could punch her.
The older femora gave a roll of her shoulders, hearing them satisfyingly pop. As soon as they did, she felt her body relax and she looked up at Sam with her cold but kind lime green visionaries, shrugging as she sat forward. "I'll just watch and make sure nobody drowns." She grunted in response. The mother would then turn to her eldest son, ruffling his hair in a teasing way. "Well I can't tell you how it is because everyone has a different opinion on it. How about Sam takes you down and teaches you a thing or two?" She asked, smiling softly, giving Sam a 'this is your chance to be a father you better do it' look. She would then gaze lovingly at her son, taking in at how blessed she was to have him, the sweetheart. She was grateful, honestly. The middle-aged mother would then turn her gaze to the blue, sparkling water before her.

Her tone being off would fly totally over Dean's head, he was just excited to teach her to fish. It was a pastime he enjoyed. Quoting himself, it's like yoga but he still got to kill something. Hopefully Alula would take to the hobby as well. She petted Benny a bit and then spoke again, surprising him when she leaned against him. This caused his smile to morph from excited to more happy and warm, glad that she was comfortable with him. He knew he wasn't the best father, but he certainly did try. "At the lake of course." he said sarcastically. "Well we want to make sure we stay away from where the others are swimming. The only thing we want on our hooks are bait and fish. With that information, which part of the Lake do you think we should fish in? the male spoke.
She rubbed his ear and then bent down to squish his cheeks, to which he would feel incredibly happy with. There was something about the positive attention that just made him really happy. The dogon happily walked with Alula and Dean, eager to get to the water's edge where he could splash around. He was unsure about Alula's tone of voice, there was something off about it, but what she said was all positive so he assumed there wasn't anything wrong. Surely if something was truly wrong she would say something?
She really didn't want to go into the water did she? Maybe later then. He gave a shrug and would say "Suit yourself." in response, glancing to the younger Dean as he spoke. Had the kid not swam before? Huh. Fawn would give a reply and he had to admit he was surprised, she had been insistent on raising Dean herself in recent times. Though he wasn't complaining, he definitely wanted to help and get to know his girlfriend's child more. The look cast at him wasn't missed and he would glance to thenkid, saying "I'd be happy to if you're cool with it," with a warm smile on his face. Meanwhile kid dean would be a tad confused with her response. If water was always water, then how could it be different for everyone? Wen she proposed that Sam teach him, he would gaze up a bit hesitantly at the large other. He was intimidating in all honesty, and he didn't know Sam that well. But if mama Fawn trusted him he couldn't be a bad person, right? He trusted Fawnpelt'a judgement. Then the older male spoke and Dean would give a shrug of his shoulders. "Sure." would be his reply. "Can you come too Mama Fawn?" he would say, a hopeful tone in his voice. He definitely wanted to spend more time with her, and even if trying to convince her was probably pointless he still thought it was worth a shot.

At his sarcastic comment, she rolled her eyes and lightly slapped him on the shoulder. It was lazy, as her wrist was limp when she did so, but still a slap. At his question, the freckled teen would look around, green eyes narrowing as she spotted where the others were swimming. Eyes landing on a secluded, calm and quiet area, she pointed. "Over there looks nice." She hummed, a jovial grin dusting her freckled features as she searched for approval.
Why was it kid dean always got to her? She hung her head a bit. "I'll walk with you to the water's edge. But I won't go in." She stated, tone a little sharp to say that she definitely wasn't gonna change it. With that, the mother would stand up, feeling and hearing her knees pop from lack of use. She twisted a bit, popping her back before nodding to Sam.

He looked in the direction where she pointed, deciding that that was a good spot. No one was swimming there and it was calm enough so that the fish wouldn't be disturbed. Quite shady too, so the fish would more likely be biting for a longer window of time. "Looks good to me." he said, happily walking over. When they got over he would set Dow their stuff, opening the box and taking out their hooks and a bobber for Alula. He would hold the bobber up, a nice red and whit esphere, for her to see. "This thing is called a bobber. You put it on your line above the hook and you can control how far down the hook goes into the water with it since it floats. It's also really good for telling when a fish is biting, because it'll move. Got it?" he explained, his eyes focused on Alula once he was done explaining.
Benny was happy to see that they soon had a place picked out. Alula picked it out, so she had to like it. And if she liked it then he liked it as well. Once they got to the water's edge, the dogon didn't hesitate to run into the shallow part, going no deeper than just above his ankles to start. Though it was still plenty for him to create a splash as he jumped in, grinning as he looked over his shoulder to see if he had gotten dean or Alula.
Sam was happy to see that dean was cool with it too. It gave him the chance to get to know him better, to actually be a father. He had always wanted to have a family and be a father, even if kids could be annoying. Having kids meant he was one step closer to being normal, having the life he had almost gotten into college for. Sam had given up on it at this poinf, but now with Fawnpelt the dream of having anything close to a normal life was reignited. He would shift his gaze over to Fawn as dean asked the question, happy to see that she was willing to come closer. "Ready?" he said, mostly to Dean as he saw the nod that Fawn gave him. He was a bit concerned as her knees popped, but it didn't seem to inhibit anything so it couldn't be too bad. Just joints being joints. Kid Dean's face would light up as Fawn agreed to come closer, giving a happy bounce. "Thank you!" he said happily, giving an enthusiastic nod as sam asked if they were ready and impatiently began to make his way over to the water's edge. This would be the childish side in him showing once more, the side that had been buried since the fox attack. It felt good to be carefree again.

Alu lifted a shoulder, tilting her head so her ear bumped it. A half shrug of understanding. "Basic knowledge." She hummed, green visionaries raking in the sphere. Simple enough, if it bobbed under a fish probably had it. Water splashed and it sprayed her legs, in which Alka was happy for Dean's larger existence to take most of it. She peered around her dad, snickering at the giant, playful puppy in the water. He was odd. Loved the lake, hated the tub. She shuddered a bit, her attention coming back to her father, a goofy, relaxed grin playing across her face.
Fawn would inhale and sigh heavily. "He scares easily, okay? Be careful." She couldn't help but wonder if him scaring this easily was her fault after the fox attack. She stiffened a bit at the thought before following her child to the water side. As soon as she stepped as close as she dared, she sat down, lime green eyes turning to look at her son as she waited for Sam to catch up and teach. She threw a small pebble that squealed and flapped her wings enthusiasticly into the water, listening it hit the water and watching it sink into the dark abyss.

Alula gave her reply and before he could continue, a splash came and interrupted him. When Dean reopened his eyes he would see a very happy and energetic benedict in the lake, having the time of his life. "Dude you'll scare away all the fish," Dean said unhappily. Normally he wouldn't talk to an animal like that, but Benny could understand human language with just as good of a fluency as him so Dean got used to it.
Bennt loved the lake. The tub was cramped and it didn't feel natural, whereas the lake had all the space in the world and had the warm sunlight and it felt natural. It felt right. He heard Dean's word and his unhappy tone and his head would drop a bit. He hadn't meant to make anyone unhappy, he just wanted to play. How would him playing scare away fish?
Sam would give a nod at her words, making a mental note to be extra careful. "I'll be careful." he said, quickly following her and her son as they walked. When they reached the lakeside Fawn would sit down and Dean seemed to be poking the water, which brought an amused smile to his face. "There's more to swimming than just poking the water." he would say, getting dean to cease his poking for a moment and look up at the older male. Then Dean glanced back at Fawn, hoping that she might change her mind and get into the water too. Though he wouldn't say anything because of her tone the last time he asked. "Do you want to go into the water?" Sam would prompt the kid, drawing his attention once more. Dean gave a nod and would take a couple steps into the water with Sam, taking a moment to get used to the temperature and feel of the liquid. He thought that the water felt fantastic, why didn't mama Fawn like it?

Alu's soft gaze went to Benedict before she looked at Dean. She almost wanted to defend Benny before deciding arguing here would be a lost cause. She didn't know squat about fishing. "Okay. We've picked a spot, I know how a bobber works, now can we fish?" She asked, trying to throw her displeasure away and forcing and enthusiastic tone. She didn't want to hurt animals and frankly, water was not her strong suit.
Fawn watched carefully from where she sat, thinking back to her bonded friend. She could almost smell him standing next to her, talking to her and asking things about the social life. She closed her eyes, thinking of the lost, fallen angel. She had given up long ago and trying to communicate with him after he disappeared with the wounds. She missed him so much.
