Sam was one of Lucifer's vessel's and he knew it. He also knew that Alula was one of them, and she was planning on saying yes. No matter how hard Dean tried there likely wasn't a way he alone could get his daughter not to, but Sam could.
He could say yes in her place.
He knew possession felt horrible, and was part of the reason why he didn't want Alu to be possessed. She was young, she still had most of her life ahead of her. Plus the dude trying to possess her was Satan.
Surprisingly, it didn't take much thought for Sam to come to his conclusion. If it meant Alu didn't have to experience it, he was all in. He had done this before and had experience, he could do it again right? Just drain some demons, find the archangel, and say yes. Then the hard part- the mental battle to control his body again. The chances were slim but he was up to the fight.
Him and fawn had made up so it had been only right to talk to her about it. No she didn't want him to say yes, but there really hasn't been much budging his decision. Sam warned her that he would have to drink demon blood, and if everything went right and he overpowered lucifer and stopped the apocalypse, and managed to kick him out, then it was highly likely he'd be... Different. He'd be more independent, feel more in charge, he'd likely get more bossy and would likely act like a jerk, he'd want more of the blood and it would lead to bad things. He hated to think of what the demon blood would do to him, but if he was to stand a chance then he would have to. Sure, the whole exorcising demons with just his hands thing was cool, but it didn't outweigh the cons.
Now, he just had to tell Dean and Alula.
He sent his brother a quick text, deciding against yelling across the bunker, and told him to bring Alu too. Dean would see the text and would call for Alula, who hopefully wasn't snogging Benny again. Now Sam just had to wait for them to get here.
