Alula's apple green gaze immediately shot to the slight redder tinted skin on her father's arm, eyes dilating with curiosity at the mark. Unfortunately for Dean, his lovely shirt sleeve had betrayed him and the young teenager eyeing him was about to unleash a series of persistance to figure out this puzzle. She glanced down at her scarred wrists before looking back at her current guardian (it was his turn to be on duty of "Protect alula at all costs"), eyes lit with mischief as she wandered closer to him, Coca giving off a sound simular to a trill of a cat as his master moved. "Say, dad, what's that on your arm here?" She poked his arm, grinning. She was half drunk on sleep deprivation give her a break.

Dean had been doing whatever dean was doing. Timur was too lazy to figure out the specifics. Honestly, he had forgotten about the marks on his arms. They had been so long ago, no one had really mentioned them since they first appeared. He wasn't even sure Sam remembered. The teenager spoke, getting his attention and slightly confusing him with the question. What was what on his arm? Then she poked it and he remembered. The handprint. Hell. "I'm the one who gripped you tight and raised you from perdition." Meeting Castiel. That was before the apocalypse had even been dreamed of in the winchesters' mind. He froze for a moment, memories he had pushed away flooding back. "It's something from a while ago, nothing you need to worry about." dean said, going back to whatever he was doing (probably washing baby tbfh) to try and disinterest her, though completely expecting her to persist. Apple doesn't fall far from the tree.

//"apple doesn't fall far from the tree" alula can't even climb stfu.
She sneered, lip curling just a bit to reveal her canines. An exact copy of some of Benedict's facial expressions that she had picked up. "Well considering it's almost the exact same mark as these," She shoved her hands forward, showing the scars on her wrists, "I'm worried." She grunted.

/what if Benny flew her up
And as expected, she persisted. Her words confused him for a moment, almost the same as what? He turned around, eyes quickly finding what she was trying to show him. Oh shit. So the dude had been kinky as well? He damn well better not cross paths with dean, it wouldn't end well at all. Quickly pushing those thoughts aside she spoke again. Alula was... worried for him? If he would think about it for a moment it would make sense, but it wasn't something he was used to thinking. "It's nothing you need to worry about, I promise." the male said, adjusting his sleeve to cover the old scar. "If we're going to worry about anything, let's worry about the situation we have on our hands now." Dean added, not putting a pop culture reference in a sentence for once.

//True dat tho.
Alula's emerald tinted eyes narrowed as he continued to refuse to answer her question. She promptly crossed her arms, averting her gaze in half annoyance, half fear of pissing him off. "Refusing to answer the question most definitely won't help. It'll just come up later and you can't exactly dance around it, dad. So, why don't you just answer it now?" She glanced at him, then the ground, then at him, then at the ground again as she awaited her fellow Winchester's response to her words, which were still pressing for an answer.

Why didn't he just answer it now? Good question. Answer? Because he was Dean. He didn't want to revisit memories of hell, even if his daughter was pestering. Nobody wanted to revisit bad memories. Sure, there was a way he could word it to make it not seem bad, but it was hard to make being in hell not bad. "Because it's nothing we need to worry about. Maybe later." the male said. He wasn't mad at her, if anything he was just reluctant. Maybe even a little sad. That had been a chain of events that had lead to the apocalypse, and life had only gotten worse from there. He blamed himself. If he hadn't broken the first seal, if he had been just a little stronger, he would of been able to hold off. Then things wouldn't of been as bad, right?

She blinked, thinking back just a bit. Finally she dropped her gaze, hesd lowered. "If it has anything to do with Archangels and the apocalypse I'd like to know. Since, you know, I've got Zabby chasing me as a vessel." Her voice was dangerously low. "I've told you some of my darkness secrets. Even when we first met, I told you the last memory I had of my mother. And you won't return the favor as to answering this one question?" She snorted. "Two can play at that game." She hadn't told him everything. Not yet. Winchesters.

Oh she was playing that game? Well he could still dance around the question. He hoped that the sassiness was just a teenage thing and she would grow out of it. "It was way back from before the first near-apocalypse. Has nothing to do with this one, doesn't effect this situation." he said, a bit more of a defensive tone coming out. Sure, this wasn't his worst memory, but it was still one that he hated. Her darkest secrets? He didn't want to hurt her with some of his secrets. They weren't really for teenage ears, no matter how badass Alu was he didn't want her knowing. Not yet at least. Maybe when she was grown up. Right now, she was trying to play the guilt game, and he was trying to resist.

//I love how he's saying this when I was 12 and watched him go through hell I'm wheezing.
The defensive tone was an easy pick up for Alula and she instantly grew defensive as well, shooting a glare at him. "Not like I couldn't ask somebody else. I just figured you'd want to be the one who told me." She hissed under her breath. She then proceeded to back mouth him quietly, not loud enough for him to make iut the words, but loud enough for him to hear the tone. That's because Dean had never disciplined her. Just to her no alot. A word she didn't respect because it was never respected when she said kt.
