Sam Winchester He had gotten back only recently, and the memories from death still bothered him. They had also swept up memories from other deaths, deaths that hadn't been pleasant in any way shape or form. Sam made sure never to think about it for too long, because the thoughts lead to hell, and ultimately lead to lucifer. There was absolutely nothing pleasant on that topic for him. And that was the perfect recipe for nightmares. Nightmares that no regular person would have, probably because no regular person had died before and came back. Gone to both heaven and hell. Done the things he had done. Hell. This wasn't an uncommon nightmare, but every time it was different. A different thing that could of happened, a different way of torturing him. And of course there was the deal- he could stop being tortured if he tortured other. It would be stupid to say yes and not torture others, he'd be hauled straight back here and the torture wouldn't cease. Tonight it was the torture known as 'death by a million cuts' aka the demon trying to see how many cuts and stabs he could get on Sam before he "died", even though he was already dead. And the torture went on, brutal and causing him to scream in agony at the tools and methods used. The worst part? The demon seemed to love it.Sam woke up with a sudden inhale of breath. He blinked. He was still in his bed, on Earth, sleeping with Fawnpelt. There was no demon, no cuts or stab wounds, no torture. A long sigh of relief escaped his lips, sometimes Sam feared for the day he would wake up and not be in his bed with Fawnpelt by his side, but instead in hell being tortured. However, today was not that day, he was in his own bed with his girlfriend. A bit of cold sweat from the nightmare was on his forehead and brow, he noted. Sam rolled over and would position an arm over Fawnpelt. A loving and lowkey protective gesture, also partly to comfort himself from the recent nightmares as he pretty much initiated a spooning position, though hoping he didn't wake the female up.

She had her own nightmares, of her own hell. The usual didn't scare her anymore; the bodies, Stoney, then her falling into the sickly scarlet liquid. The blood would rush her nose and mouth, drowning her in an ocean of blood. It never seemed to get to her anymore. That dream was old and torturous. She lived through that hell every single night. However, this night it was interuppted.
The movement of Sam woke her and she smelt salt, tasted it on her tongue. Sweat, she realized. Sam's breath wasn't normal and this worried her. She remained still however and soon felt him shift again. His arm across her body and he took up a spooning position, to which Fawn actually naturally moved to adjust to.
However, she wasn't going to let his odd behavior go unnoticed. She huffed, revealing she was awake, if only half. She quickly became aware of Alula and Dean lightly snoring in the next room. She sighed, reaching out her senses to listen more. Good. Everyone was ok.
"Bad dream, baby?" She was going to keep it short and sweet, straight to the point. She wouldn't move however, only talk. "I know the pain." She muttered before pressing herself closer to him to offer more comfort. Her mind clicked and she remembered something Dean liked when he had nightmares. Softly, she hummed quietly, offering him some more comfort.

Sam Winchester She gently shifted besides him to adjust to the position, so he knew he must of woken her up even before she let out a huff. Oops. Another, though smaller sigh escaped his lips as she pressed closer to him, and the action did make him happier and more comforted. He waited a moment to reply, and by then she had started to him softly. Sam wasn't quite sure why she did this, but it was a nice tune. "Yeah." the male replied, moving his head closer to hers to press his nose against the back of her head, happily breathing in her scent. He was happy to have Fawnpelt with him, to help him through the bad time and to help her through hers. She seemed to be god-sent, and it was possible that she actually was, but this was meant in a metaphorical sense.

If only he knew. She was part angel and all so she could be his guardian angel. But. It was metaphorical. She stopped humming as soon as he moved again and closed her eyes slightly, sleeping tugging at her to enter darkness and then her nightmares. She didn't want to go back, she wanted to stay here with Sam. "They won't last long. Hopefully." She replied quietly, gently grabbing the arm across her body to wrap it in her grasp gently. She yawned. "If you need anything, I'm here." She promised quietly. She woke up even more at the sound of somebody other than Sam shifting. It was nothing and she silently cursed her wakefulness. She sighed deeply, filling her lungs with air and releasing it, closing her eyes yet again.

Sam Winchester He did know about the part angel, from when they first kissed. She had told him, and the part demon thing. Most of the time he didn't think about it, the fact that she wasn't fully human didn't bother him, she was different from both species. Fawn grasped his hand, bringing a small smile to his lips despite the previous nightmare. Her words once again drifted to his ears, this time a promise in contrast to comforting him in the earlier statement. "Thank you." he replied, happy that she was trying to help. Fawn truly was amazing.

He had been there for her when she had her nightmares. So, she would return the favor. She smiled, some pretty good memories coming to mind. The night Auroradweller couldn't sleep. The tom had woken her with his restless turning and she had been willing to help him sleep, for her own sake. They talked and she gave him advice until he fell asleep. A few moons later she had had nightmares and he had been quick to rush to her side and comfort her and talk to her until she fell back asleep. Odd, she realized, how sleep were supposed to be peaceful moments. However, for her and a few selective few would dread the sleep. The hell that sleep threw them into. It seemed Sam was becoming one of them. "I love you." She said, realizing that this was something he would need to hear. "And no matter the situation, however insane I may be, I always will love you."

Sam Winchester Most of the time, sleeping was peaceful. However, it wasn't always the case. This wasn't the first time Sam had had nightmares, but it was the first time he had Fawn to support him. Yes, Dean would help him, but it was different. His smile widened as Fawn spoke again, her thick southern accent putting a nice ring to her words. It was something he needed to hear right now. Something that told him that no matter what, she would stand by his side and they would support each other. "I love you too, no matter how messed up things get." Sam replied softly, giving her head a small kiss. Things could get pretty messed up in their lives, but that didn't mean he would stop loving her.

Sam replied to her promise and she smiled as he kissed her head. She yawned again, trying to stifle it. "Wake me up if you need anything, babe." She told him, eyelids closing as sleep tugged at her again, pulling her body back into a limp state. She blinked before falling asleep, breathing evening out.
