And it was within a few moments of being on a hunt that there was two lone caribou in the pack's sights. Alula had taken two of the Alphas to flank them, in which she was careful not to step on anything. She kept low to the ground, belly brushing against it as she did. She moved a little quicker now, taking cover behind a rock before silently moving on. In position now, she waited for her father's signal.

Their behavior changed and Benny wouldn't be sure why until he spotted the caribou in the distance, though at a much later time than the alphas. They had been trained to pick up scents and sounds from far away, he wasn't. They all moved around but he kept his sights on Alula, wondering what she was doing then realizing that she was probably getting in position for a hunt. Oh he should stay still shouldn't he? Yeah that was probably good. He would crouch down a bit like they were, deciding they were crouched for a reason. Oh lupus this was so exciting and he wasn't even the one hunting!
Dean would be patient. They had all the time in the world right now and it was their first hunt. One of the alphas got confused and went to the wrong spot but was quickly corrected with a tail signal. His gaze went to each of them one last time, and deciding they were ready he would give the signal, leaping out of his own cover alongside Sam at the caribou that would be their dinner tonight. The game, Alula, was on!
However all of the wolves were unaware of the other hunters in the area. What were they? Humans. Human hunters that weren't here for caribou either. They were here for two wolves, one male one female, that were young and strong and most importantly fertile. They would attempt to relocate the wolves and encourage them to start another pack, as the total population of wolves was on the decline and that was not good. They weren't here to kill, but it would still not be good for a certain two wolves that would be caught.
These two were smarter and more effective than the last two who had been here oh so long ago, and were able to sneak up relatively easily on the hunting wolves and the stray omega. They spotted Benny first, and decided that he would do. So the first hunter took aim at the omega and pulled the trigger, only to be stopped at the sound of a click. Crap. He forgot to turn the safety off. However Benny was an oblivious little shiz and wouldn't hear it, his focus trained on Alula and the caribou. Noticing this the hunter quickly turned off the safety and took aim again, pulling the trigger once more and smiling as it shot, the tranquilizer would hopefully hit its target and soon take effect, in which they could take the wolf back for repopulation. Now they just had to find a suitable female.
Benny would be watching intently, right up until the tranq dart hit him in the butt. A sharp pain was felt and he let out a yelp, jumping from his position. What was that? He whipped around to sniff it but the sight of the humans caught his eyes and they widened. "Hunters!" ran out a startled yowl that came from no one else but Benny. It was too high pitched and girly to be anyone else's. Said wolf would panic and dart away from his hiding space, however his steps soon became uncoordinated as the drug took its hold on the male. "Guys you gotta go! There's, there's hunters!" he yelped again, this time his words were noticeably slurred as he began to stumble over his own paws. He did that anyways sometimes so it was hard to tell wether it was the tranq or him. Well crap.

Alula's shoulder blades would rock too and fro, eyes watching her father and the caribou. She wouldn't hear the click, it as too far away even for her trained Alpha ears to hear. Instead, she focused on the hunt. Everybody was in position, what was Dean waiting for? Ah okay. The signal was given.
With a woof, the other two Alphas shot up from behind her, immediately taking aim. A few seconds later, Alula was up and bounding towards her prey. The other two were already on it and there was yelping from the kicks they were receiving. However, another yelp from behind caught Alula's attention and Benny's cry for hunters had her spun around, the hunt forgotten. "Benedict?" She asked no one in particular and left the hunt. The others could manage, they didn't need her. Right now, was about the obvious cry.
The dark grey she-wolf bounded up into the forest, slowing her steps and looking around carefully. Her ears picked up the sounds of paw steps; clumsy ones and she went to follow those. Then, she caught something out of the corner of her eye and whipped around to face it. There was something shiny.
Now, being young, Alula didn't know what a gun was. So she frose, inspecting it from her spot. This, was the biggest mistake of her life. They knew she was there. Ignoring it now, Alula found herself approaching a staggering Benedict. She perked her ears before a dart was shot and hit her right in the rear. She yelped, jumping forward before whirling around. "Hunters!" She barked despite Benedict obviously given the warning call before her. She drug started to take control and she staggered forward, towards Benedict for no reason. Her vision blurred and black pricked at the edges as she stumbled to the staggering male. Just before she reached him, she finally blacked out, loosing whatever balance conciousness held. She fell over on her side with a loud and heavy thump, knocked out by the sleepy drug.
/time skip to cages or them being released whatever fits you bab.

Dean heard the cry too. Wait what was Benny doing here? Aw crap nevermind that, there were hunters! Hunters weren't ever good, never hear for a good thing. They were here to take their prey or their wolves, neither of which was good.
"Alula come back!" he called out desperately upon not seeing the dark gray fur of his daughter. No! Not Alula! He too forgot the hunt and would crash through the undergrowth searching madly for his daughter. No he couldn't loose her. Not Alula. Not here, not now. In fact he would of continued had there not been a wolf by the name of Sam barreling after him, calling his name, urging him to come back and stay safe and to look for Alula later. Dean was way too important in Sam's mind, they couldn't loose their leader like this. Yes loosing Alu would be horrible, but he was determined to save his brother if he could, seeing as Alu had vanished from their sight. Dean ignored him however, only stopping when Sam's massive weight barreled into him and forced him to stop. "Dean!" the bigger wolf said repeated. "Alula..." he croaked, the breath having been knocked out of him. Oh no this wouldn't be good.
~wonderful useful timeskip~ /they'll be released soon but I wanted to include a lil road trip scene
Benny gently stirred back into consciousness due to the heavy bumping and rumbling of the thing they were in. He wasn't sure what. He let out a low moan, sore from hitting his jaw when he fell due to the drug. He had barely noticed Alu behind him before he to passed out, but he noticed enough to figure out that she was probably here too. His rump hurt too, where he had been hit with the dart. "Al- alula?" he gently called out, his throat dry and causing his voice to come out as rather cracky. Was she here too? It was dark and cramped and impossible to smell anything but humans, so he couldn't tell.

The bouncing and rattling of a metal thing was enough to rouse Alula but not enough to wake her. Then, her name was said and she was fully awoken, rising up from the floor of her tiny cage. Her side hurt from laying on it and where she had been hit in the butt with the dart. She shook her head, a slight head ache going on from her head banging against the ground. She couldn't see Benedict but she could hear him. Her eyes looked to the tiny breathing holes and she realized there was no escaping for those. "Benedict? Is that you?" Her voice was slurred slighty, the Alpha still drowsy from her 'nap'. A large bump sent her stumbling into the side of her tiny cage, knocking it over and probably onto Benedict. She righted the crooked cage by slamming into the other side. Now fully awake, Alula looked around. There was no escaping this, she couldn't even turn around!

He was glad there was someone else here with him, not in a mean way like oh screw you I want you to get captured by humans, but in a thank lupus I'm not alone way. Everything was easier when there was someone with him. Instead of replying to Alu with words he let out a whimper, his tail now tucked in his legs. Then a large bump sent them tumbling, her cage into his and going as far as to knock his cage over. He let out a yelp as it happened, and he was knocked over with his cage. Well there was no way he was getting back up. Another loud noise and Alu was back up, though he had to adjust to the new position of the cage being on its side. He whimpered again, scared in this whatever it was wherever it was.
Back in their home, Sam had managed to get a shaken Dean back to their camp area. The other alphas dispersed to their own families, leaving the two males to go to theirs. Bailey went over to the two brothers, a questioning and concerned look in her eyes. Where was Alula? Dean looked horrible! She would attempt to cover him with a nuzzle, but it did next to nothing to lift the heavy weight in his heart. Their only daughter had been taken by hunters, on his watch no less. "Dean what happened?" she asked, the concern and worry she felt showing in her voice. Dean shot a look at Sam requesting to talk to Bailey alone, and the younger brother understood and gave a brief nod before padding off to find Fawnpelt and the rest of his family.

/and it was, at this moment, that everything changed.
The rode was bouncy and had to eventually lift Benedict's cage back to its normal position. Alula growled, ramming the door to no avail. She grunted, falling back with a bruised head. "Ow. Okay... not getting out that way." She growled, rubbing her head. "Benedict? Are you even alive?" The cages prevented her from hearing his whimpers. She almost had to yell to make sure the words got to him. She continued to look around, trying to find a possible way out.

Benny was too scared to muster up the anything to yell back to her. His cage was eventually went right side up again and he was forced to again scramble and adjust to the positioning and angle of his cage. He heard her yelling and would whimper again, just too afraid to do much of anything else. It was dark and loud and bumpy and nothing ever stayed still and he didn't know where he was or why it was so dark. He had managed to say Alula's name at first because that was before the fear set in? Now? They'd have to wait until they were released to hear from him again. Good job Benny.
Dean would guide Bailey to a more private section of the camp, standing close enough so that their fur brushed against each other's. It was a comfort the male needed. "Dean? What's wrong?" Bailey asked, her worry growing as he remained silent. Once they got to their destination Dean would look down to his paws, fighting back tears that threatened to spill. Bailey noticed this and only grew more worried. Dean wasn't the one to cry, and if he was about to like this then that meant something was horribly wrong. Was it about Alula? Surely she hadn't been killed? "Dean... Where's Alula?" Bailey continued, a form of what would be known as motherly panic starting to take ahold. Surely nothing bad had happened to Alula? Dean looked up at Bailey, not wanting to break the news but it would be even more wrong to not. Plus he had to answer her question, he couldn't lie to her. "She's been... taken... by hunters." he said, the tears he had worked to hold back now making a presence on his cheeks. "Bailey I'm so sorry when Benedict called out hunters I tried to get Alula and get her back but I couldn't find her and and-" he began rambling, the words tumbling from his mouth in a similar manner to how the tears slid down his cheeks. Bailey's eyes widened in surprise and tears of her own would form but she too would try to hold them back. He was obviously torn and hurt by this, probably thought it was his fault to knowing Dean, and no matter how much it hurt her too she had to be strong for Dean. She would cut him off with a firm "Dean it's not your fault, you didn't have any control of the situation." but her words didn't seem to do much, Dean always was a stubborn little shit. "But I should of done something more! If I had been faster then they wouldn't of taken her, and she'd still be here with us! But no, I had to go and be a horrible parent and now she's off who knows where with who knows who doing who knows what." he said, as stubborn as ever. With this outburst Bailey would no longer be calm with her words, if he needed to be yelled at to learn that it wasn't his fault then so be it. "Dean! Are you even listening to yourself? I'm sure you tried your best to help her but just because whatever you're pulling now doesn't make it your fault! They're hunters, no one can control them! I know that you're shaken but in case you didn't realize you have a pack to lead, and you can't sit here with your tail between your legs saying that it's your fault and sitting in a pit of self loathing! Snap out of it Dean or I'll bite you so hard you'll be counting stars for a month!" she snapped at him, her bark taking a tone that made anyone know that she meant business. Maybe he could pull that crap with the others but not with her. This time her words had a visible effect on him, as he shut up about it and instead he buried his face in her fur, muttering something about how he was sorry but not continuing the it was all his fault thing. Dean was strong, no one could deny that, but sometimes he needed a shoulder to cry on too- literally in this scenario. So that's hat Bailey would provide, gently resting her chin on his head and muttering soothing words to the male. Her time to grieve would come later, but for now she would hold off her own sadness to help Dean who seemed to need her now more than ever.

"Oh for Lupus' sake Benedict! Fine then, don't talk." Alula's snap was obviously annoyed. And dcared. She shivered before sliding down into a laying position. Maybe, just maybe, she could take a nap. And when she woke up, maybe this would be all over. She rested her head on her paws and despite the bumpy road, managed to doze off into a light sleep, awoken every once in a while by a large bump.
Fawn's golden head would lift from the earthy ground at her mate's approach. Despite her tired look, she wagged her tail slowly in greeting before realizing the upset layer around him. Peering around him she took head count of the Alphas... Alula wasn't here. Her eyes widened and she looked at Sam in fear. "Where's Alula?" She asked, ushering Dean back into the den. Something was up and she felt the need to keep him out of the open, to keep him safe.

After a while the truck would slow into a stop, in which Benedict's head quickly shot up. That was new. It stopped. Now what?
Ah so fawn noticed it too. Alula's absence. Dean was not happy to be ushered into the den but once he saw how his dad looked he didn't put up an argument. Mom was probably doing it for a good reason. Sam would gaze at her, pausing for a moment as he gathered his words. He couldn't help but notice how to the sun reflected off her fur and made her look even more beautiful. Sam opened his mouth and would say "Alula and Benedict were taken by hunters. They seem to of gone off and out of the territory but I'll check more thoroughly before nighttime." he said, rolling out the facts. He too held grief for Alu in his heart, but was determined not to let it show, yet at least. Then he would wait, looking at Fawn for her reaction.

Fawn gave a very quiet gasp. "Oh no..." Oh poor Alula and Benedict. This wasn't good at all, no. Fear was shown in Fawn's eyes. More than likely, Dean would have all Alphas on the look out. Including Fawn. *epic zoom in on green eye because yeah* *epic zoom out*
Alula's head popped up as the truck stopped and she jumped up, unsure of what was going on. She growled lowly as her cage was seemingly moved. She couldn't see anything because of the walls but, she knew she was being lifted. It was set km the ground, a little roughly, and Alula grunted, readjusting herself. She heard what was probably Benedict being set on the ground. And human jibberish. Suddenly, the door clicked and she perked her ears. Then, it slid up and Alula knew she could run. So, she did. Shooting out of cage, Alula was running and didn't plan to stop.

He felt more movement, but this time of a different manner. The cage still lurched and wobbled but not the same way it had. Then it stopped, and then a bright light shone through, an indicator that he could leave now. But it wouldn't be until he saw Alu's fur flashing as she bolted that he would spur into action. Benny stood up and tried to run, however his legs were like jelly from all the shaking of the truck and he promptly fell on his face about two steps out of the cage. He let out a yelp as his chin once again made hard contact with the ground. However he was experienced in falling and was able to get back up. If he didn't get out of here now the hunters would get him again. That was fear enough to fuel his legs to propel himself in the same direction Alula went, yipping her name to try and get her attention like the pup he was at heart. Once he got to a line of bushes that he thought was out of the hunters' sight Benny would promptly collapse in a trembling ball of fur and fear, whimpering as his brain tried to process what had just happened. At least he wasn't passed out, so that was a plus side. A low rumbling sound would tell them that the hunters were leaving, but that wouldn't help his current state much if at all.

Alula's plans of not stopping were foiled when Benedict tipped her name. She had leapt over the bushes but now the rustling told her Benedict had collapsed into them. Skidding to a stop, Alula leaned into her skid and spun back around, facing the collapsed male. Alula stalked forward, nose low as she nudged him once she reached him. "Come on. We gotta get out of here. And stick together." Alula mumbled. She lifted her head again. "Well, we definitely aren't in Jasper Park any more." She growled lowly, the area unfamiliar to her. She looked around, unsure of which direction was home. "Benedict." She said his name softly, trying to get the omega to stand up so they could find their way home. She whimpered now, afraid. This wasn't home and she didn't like it one bit. "Dad must be so worried." She muttered to herself.

All Benedict wanted to do was curl up in a ball and stay there. Whatever had just happened was overwhelming and the sheer fact of not knowing pretty much anything about the current situation only made it worse. But, he was roughy back to reality by Alula's voice. He squeezed his eyes shut as she nudged him, trying to calm himself. Her whimper wouldn't do him much good, because if she was whimpering he knew that meant the situation was probably worse than he thought. Her words did do him good though, and enabled him to get up on shaky legs. Then Benny would attempt to gently press into her, his fear causing him to not think straight as he tried to look for comfort, which Alu would hopefully provide in his mind. Had he not been this terrified he never would of done it because he knew he didn't have a chance, but all that thought went out the window until he would be able to calm down. He let out a rather high pitched whine, definitely still frightened and uncomfortable. "Alula what's going on? What's happening?" Benny asked, as if she would have the answers he didn't. He looked up to her, which probably played a part in his crush on her. Which would be addressed later.

Alula was not used to being leaned on. Alphas never did it and the fact that he was an omega didn't help much. She wasn't focused on him for the most part, instead on where they were. But, she quickly took notice that she was having to strain harder to stand up and looked at Benedict. She nudged him again and shuffled away, allowing him to stand on his own. "If you want me to he honest, I have no idea." She mumbled. "Come on. Let's at least try to find others." By others, she met wolves. Not a golfing goose and a duck. And to confirm Benny and Alula weren't alone, a very round rock hit her in the back of the head. "Ow!" She yelped, whipping around. She dropped her head, trying to remain undetected as she went to investigate just what had attacked her.
