He was nudged and her warm gray pelt shuffled away from him, forcing him to stand on his own like usual. After a couple more moments Benny was able to regain his bearings, but had not heard her suggestion. But the Yelp was loud enough to get his attention, putting him on edge again. "What's wrong Alula? What is it?" the male barked, hoping it wasn't another hunter.

"Somebody threw a rock at me!" Alula growled in reply as she jogged on. Weaving through the tall grasses, she heard voices. She paused as her little field came to an end and saw... was that a goose? Was he... golfing? She ducked as another round ball flew in their direction, this time more than likely coming towards Benedict. "Hey, maybe they can help." She told Benedict, ears perking at the duck and goose.

Somebody threw a rock at her? But there wasn't anybody there! Benedict was about to protest his thought that there wasn't anyone there therefore it didn't make any sense, and then she pointed out the goose and duck sitting there, right before a golf ball hit him too, right in the shoulder. Dear lupus he would be very sore tomorrow morning. "Ow!" he too yelped as the ball hit him, jumping. When that was done he looked over at the two, doubtful. They were a goose and a duck how helpful could try be? "Alula it's a goose and a duck?" he pointed out. Or was there a wolf he didn't see?

"Aaand? We can talk to them. Come on." The alpha side of her was showing as she rose back to her full height and started to pad towards the prey animals, tail swaying slowly. Hey, the goose made a hole in one! Interesting. As soon as she drew within ear shot she flicked her ears. "Hey! We were wondering if you could help me and my friend." She called out, taking note of how startled they looked. However, they didn't seem afraid. Did wolves not eat these creatures in these parts? Or did they just see she was friendly?

Benny opened his jaws to retort, thinking it was one of the most ridiculous ideas ever(even more so than log sledding), but she was off before he could. So he would silently follow her, doubting her plan every second in the way. How was this even possible? Oh well.

"Wolves? Why... of course." The goose spoke. French accent. Wonderful. Alula took a mental note of the duck inching away from them. Great! You see, we were captured and brought here. We want to get home." The duck froze. "We had some wolves come this part quite a few years ago with the same problem. They were brought here to... repopulate." The duck spoke causing Alula's skin to pick and her hackles to raise in shock. With Benedict? Of all wolves? Benedict?

Repopulate. Ok. Whatever that meant. Benedict would have a reaction that suggested he had no idea what was going on, simply standing there with a blank expression. And innocent little Benedict would be innocent and ask. "What does 'repopulate' mean?" he still didn't like the idea of talking to ducks and geese but the curiosity got the best of him here, and a question came out when he planned to be silent and just watch what happened. Alula didn't seem to have a good reaction to the term, leaving the young male to stare blankly, his gaze flicking between the other creatures here.

The smokey grey wolf pinned her ears to her head. The only reason she knew was because it was used a lot for hunting like 'hopefully the caribou repopulate'. Sighing, she would roll her shoulders back and turn her green gaze to her companion. "To breed, have pups." She said as quickly as possible. Her pelt flared up and she shuddered at saying that.

Woah that was definitely not what he wanted to hear. But it did confuse him a bit. If the humans wanted them to repopulate couldn't that of been done in the comfort of his own home and under less weird circumstances? Leave Benedict to take it in the most innocent way possible. He shifted his weight, feeling a bit uncomfortable now. He didn't exactly want pups yet, and he could tell Alula didn't really like the idea either. Benedict opened his mouth to say something but then decided to just be quiet and closed his mouth, looking to the strange birds. They seemed to know what they were doing. Right now all he wanted to do was go back home and to its comfortable familiarity. "How do we get back?" the male asked, his eyebrows furrowed.

The goose would answer that. "Well, there's a train that passes right through Canada!" He said, accent thick. Alula crinkled her nose. "Any other modes?" She was answered by the duck shaking his head and she groaned. "Wonderful." She growled. "Alright, where is this train?" She would ask. "Just over the mountain. Four days, you two, before it passes through." Four days. Alula felt she could make it there before then, maybe two. But with Benedict? She gave him a sideways glance. "We will follow with a birds eye view!" The duck answered. "Fine. Let's go, Benny. We're burning daylight." She said taking off towards the distant mountain at a brisk, Alpha trot. The birds took off, holding to their promise.

That would be a lot of walking it seemed, not to mention he had no idea where he was. Well at least the birds were helpful, no matter how much he had doubted it. He gave a small nod to show his understanding and when Alula spoke he too would get up and start walking, ignoring the full throb from where he had tripped and been thrown about in the truck. He didn't want to be a wimp so he would try to shrug it off, despite him favoring the paw who's shoulder was the most sore.

Alu was not slowing down. She charged onwards, strides long and very Alpha like. Hermosa to the air as she remained alert, she wouldn't even glance back at Benedict to make sure he was following. She needed to get home and she intended to get there as quickly as possible, leading Benedict into the forest and on their way to that mountain.
