Okay okay. This was new. Fawnpelt didn't wake up to the feeling of Sam holding her close, a blanket covering them both. She didn't wake up to the wonderful sound of his breathing, a slight snore added to it. She didn't wake up to her own bed head. No. She was woken by a sound so familiar, it scared her. The breathing of multiple others around her, the sound of birds chirping and an early morning breeze bringing with it the scent of healthy prey. The feeling of warmth, multiple others crowded around her. And fur. Fur that was recognizable. And her claws. They weren't stuck outside; they were retractable! Before she even opened her eyes she tested them. Feline! She could part her jaw and taste the air, feel it waft up her glands. She was crowded by others; felines like her! Was it true? Was she home? Joy leapt in her throat but then saddness. What about Sam? She finally forced herself to open her eyes, and what she saw startled her. They were in a cave like area, the entance leading out onto a large platform outside, revealing the plains. Her side pressed against a slightly higher mound in the center. A single male lion slept on it, sprawled out. He was half way on his own back and his mane was long and full. Laying across from her was another male lion, his eyes still closed in sleep and mane long and full, more so than the previously mentioned male. It smelt of Sam. Around her were multiple other lionesses, herself included. Some of the lionesses even had what appeared to be new born cubs nuzzle up against them. One, she identified as Larkbeat, the scent and missing leg familiar. Cuddled up beside her had to be a sleeping baby Benedict. Why was it he was so small? Birch and Dean no where to be seen. She sniffed slightly, realizing they might not even be born. Yet, atleast. She leaned forward, taking a giant whiff of the lion in front of her. She drew baack, nose wrinkled. That was definitely her Sammy. Then, she realized. This was familiar. The lions, the mound, the cave, the cartoon appearance. She'd seen this. In the movie, The Lion King. Wait. So if they were here and Sam was there... She looked at the mound. That had to be Dean. King Dean. She snickered. She stifled it as soon as a lioness stirred with a growl. With that, Fawnpelt froze before stretching her neck out to nudge the lion in front of her. "Sam. Psst. Sam. Wake up." She hissed quietly. A lioness nearby rolled over and Fawnpelt risked a glance before standing. She probed Sam with a paw. "Get up." She hissed before looking out at the opening. That was pride rock out there. Everything the light touched belong to them. Woops. Fawnpelt sighed before looking to Sam again, getting ready to nip him if necessary.

Sam wasn't yet aware of the change, not until Fawn woke him up. As soon as he woke up he was hit with a world of new. New smells, stronger and many more. Fur, four legs. Not sleeping besides Fawnpelt, and many more people breathing by him. Wait that wasn't right. His eyes shot open and he glanced up at the lioness standing over him. No that wasn't right either. He didn't go to sleep with a lion pride! Sam leapt to his paws rather clumsily, not used to the body of a lion yet. He knew he needed to be prepared in case there was a threat, ready to fight it off. Thing was, he had no idea how to fight as a lion. They were lucky that a lion's sense of smell was increased, so it didn't take him long to recognize the lioness in front of him. "Fawnpelt? What's going on?" he asked, unsure of if she knew the answer either. It seemed as if his sudden movements had woken someone up, because the sound of someone complaining reached his ears. Whoops.
A thud. That was what woke Dean up. The thud of Sam leaping to his paws. His own eyes shot open and his head shot up, and he let out a startled roar when he realized that he wasn't human. Wait that wasn't normal either. What the hell was going on? Dean quickly got to his paws too. "Someone better explain why everything looks like friggin lion king!" he roared, unable to control his volume and probably ended up waking the whole pride. That was wen he realized that there were others around him, but right now Dean didn't care if he interrupted someone's beauty rest, as long as he figured out why he was surrounded by freaking lions. Lions man.

Fawnpelt flinched as Dean leapt up, roaring and waking everybody up. Some grumbled complaints, others confused. Then there were some who just left all together, more than likely going to go about their buisness. "No, it totally looks like supernatural." As Sam rose, Fawnpelt felt suddenly small, gulping at how much larger he was now. She gave an awkward smile to a confused lioness and quietly waved her off with her tail. The lioness obeyed and Fawn beckoned Dean down with her tail. Oh. Wait. The hey didn't know tail signals like she did. Tail signals were her life, what kept her alive. "Dean, sir." She chuffed before shuffling closer, but didn't dare lay a paw on the mound. "I think we switched bodies again... and now we're in the Lion King." A few lionesses bowed to Dean. "And you're the king." She explained to her best ammount. She gave a small awkward smile. Now that everybody was out and about outside, Fawnpelt would back away and turn to stride, with a beautiful and elegant gait, mind you, to the entrance. She pasued, twisting to look at the two siblings behind her.

Dean must of acted out like this normally before, because it didn't seem as if any of the others that were there questioned his outburst. Huh. He didn't recognize anyone here, and wasn't aware of just how much smelling was important to life here. A rather pale furred lioness came towards him and called him by his name. Wait lion king? He was king? He raised an eyebrow, as if saying "interesting", before giving a small nod. "Huh, and who are you?" Dean spoke. Well if anything he was king now, he should know their names, and that could be someone from before the body switch. It would take a bit of adjusting to being a leader, and inside Dean was honestly a little intimidated by it. Though he wouldn't let it show, obviously. Another question nagged at him. Was he like Simba, or Mufasa?
He was still the biggest, at least that wasn't new. Fawn was still small compared to him he realized, but that was perfectly fine to him. Sam also realized that lions probably didn't hold the concept of marriage that humans did, but after they had found out that Fawn Lark and the others had previously been animals but still spoke full English he probably wouldn't be too surprised if they did. Fawn spoke to Dean and then walked off in a way that left Sam breathless. Even in lion form she was beautiful. She seemed so confident and sure of what she was doing, it also helped Sam get a better grip on reality- assuming this wasn't some weird dream set up by angels or djinn. He felt more sure of himself as a side effect. So he went over to Dean, who was apparently the king. Pfft Sam wouldn't treat him any differently. "So now what?" he asked.

Fawn rolled her eyes. "It's the one and only Fawn." She answered his question. She flicked her tail, rolling her large shoulders. "Coming?" She asked before moving on outside. Her pale fur reflected the light, annoying her slightly. At least it kept her a little cooler, right? A few of the lioness had disappeared, probably to hunt, Fawn noted. She padded up to get a better view of the territory. Okay... everything the light touched. Fair enough. Wait. What was that? Was that fire?
Heat. That's all Alula's senses could pick up. That and the smell of smoke accompanied by the teeth of her mother as the lioness tried to rescue the cub. Alula was tucked up, making it easier to carry her as she squinted her eyes through the smoke. Then, she was flying through the air. Flames licked at her and she realized that the lioness had thrown her up and over the flames, leaving the soot covered cub to quickly crawl away, escaping. Wait. No! This was how her first mother died; why this one?

/I messed up with the actions whoops
Ah so this was Fawnpelt. Good to know, she stood out quite a bit. Her fur had to be one of the palest here. He gave a small nod and she spoke again. Why not come? "Sure." Dean said, following her as Sam did. They didn't get far outside before his eyes also picked up the sight of a flame. A lioness pelted towards them and away from the fire yowling something about a fire, oh wait that made sense. Duh there was a fire. "Everybody out!" Dean yelled, though of course he would dart towards the fire to make sure there was no one left. That's what he was supposed to do right? Well it was what he was going to do.
Sam hadn't been paying much attention to his surroundings as they walked, he personally was more focused on memorizing Fawnpelt's new appearance. It would be super embarrassing were he to mix Fawn up with another lioness. However the lioness caught his attention, and hearing Dean would spur him into action. It didn't matter if he were lion or human, Sam would alway try to make sure everyone else was out of the danger zone. "Fawnpelt-" he started, facing his spouse. "I need you to stay safe, ok? Go with the rest of the group, try and keep them from not completely panicking, but most of all stay safe." the male said. He didn't really care if she tried to keep them calm or not, he just wanted her out of the danger area so he didn't have to worry about her getting in danger. Sam wasn't sure what he would do if he had left her and she had gotten hurt, or worse killed. So if she was safe, knowing she was safe was all he needed. Sam didn't know if their witch familiar thing carried out to this place as well, but he still would want her to stay safe. All he needed was for her to stay safe and out of harms way, and he would be fine as well.

Fawn's attention was on the fire for a bit longer before nodding to Sam. She understood. Somebody sensible need to keep the rest of the cl- pride safe and calm. And it appeared she was the one to do it. With another brief nod, the turned tail and quickly made her way to a panicked lioness, talking gently to her and calming her down before nudging her towards the rest of their pride. She looked to her spouse again. "Go." She mouthed before turning back to the younger lioness.
A zebra hoof nearly crushed poor Alula as she scrambled away from the raging fire, trying to follow other animals to escape. They were all bigger than her and jumping flames though! It was true, she was safer from the smoke, being smaller, but not the heat. Her small, clumsy paws stumbled about, trying to avoid crashing into anything. "Help!" Her tiny voice called out as she dashed between two flames before they collided. Where was she? She coughed a little, smoke affecting her a little. Her scrawny frame would dart around, she actually being quite lost. Where was everybody? Where was she?

He pelted through the grasslands, ignoring the fact that his paws wanted to stumble about. There were innocent people out there, and it was easily possible that someone else he knew was out there. Alula? Lark? Ryan or Gavin? Birch? Any one of them could be suffocating on the thick smoke. That was what propelled him forwards. Soon a small cry for help reached his ears and Dean skidded to a halt and scanned the area which was quickly becoming engulfed with flames. And then he saw her, not to far away from the burnt body of what had to be its mother. "Hold on!" he called out, leaping over a flame before attempting to swiftly, yet a bit awkwardly because he didn't know how to actually hold her, grab her in a way that hopefully wouldn't harm her. He didn't see anyone else living there, so Dean would then start back to safety, weaving between the zebras that were also trying to get out.
Sam had half expected her to say she wanted to help too, but luckily she didn't. His gaze would follow her a couple moments longer, up until she turned around and mouthed for him to go. So he did, and Sam turned before sprinting off towards the fire to look for any poor people trapped in the flames. They seemed to be mostly getting out, but you never knew.

Then suddenly, there it was. Help. The voice she knew; Dean. She looked around for him but was quickly picked up around her rib cage and chest by a pair of large and mighty jaws. She peered up, but couldn't recognize the lion. Instead she looked in front of them as she was freed from the thick black smoke. Her soot covered fur would make it impossible to tell what color it was before they cleaned it and her small heart was racing. Her apple green eyes saw another male and multiple zebra. The male seemed to be running into the fire and the zebra out. Which, was good. She coughed a little before going limp in the jaws of this lion. Who was he? "Thanks..." her small voice could barely be heard amongst the zebra call.

He barely heard her voice, if he even did it was mixed up for a zebra cry. He just knew that he had to get the cub out of this burning place. So he kept on running, and soon enough the flames disappeared from around them as they left the scene of the fire. Well he couldn't just leave her here could he? She was covered in soot and was way to young to be left alone. The thing was he wasn't sure what lion cubs needed, how to clean them what they ate or even who her mother was. So he would care for her right then and there if he knew how to. Instead he'd have to find someone else to fill in. So he would make his way to the rest of the pride, looking for a female that wasn't too panicked or freaked out to care for her while he went back to the fire to get someone else.
Sam was big and tall, and more prone to the smoke. Before he knew it the black substance was making his eyes water and making it harder to breath. He couldn't stay much longer in here without hurting himself. And then he saw what he had came in here for. A lioness, probably a member of his pride, limping in a panicked way. A burn was obvious on her leg that she was limping on. Poor girl. Sam rushed to her. "Let's get you out of here." he said quickly, blinking back the water his eyes had produced as defense. "Lean on my shoulder if you need to." the big male instructed, easily taking on her weight as she leaned on him for support. He gave her a glance as if asking if she was ready, and then the two would make their way to safety as fast as they could, Sam doing his best to ignore the smoke as he told himself that she had likely had it worse.

Fawn's attention was drawn from the females to the smell of smoke. Dean. She quickly rushed to him, noticing the small cub in his jaws. "Let me take them." She chuffed before taking the cub by the scruff. With this, she would quickly pad back to the other lioness, careful to not hurt the cub as she set it down. With this, she would lay down too, carefully grooming the nasty tasting soot away. Huh. Dark muddied fur. "Stop it!" The cub spoke and Fawn perked her ears. Alula? "Alula?" She whispered and the cub looked at her in recognition. She nodded. "Yeah its me. Now let me go!" Alula hissed. Fawn allowed the cub to be free and sat up, calmly telling a lioness near by everything was fine.

The form of Fawnpelt came up and took the cub. Good, she would know what to do he was sure. Dean have a small nod and let her do her thing, turning behind him to see if Sam had returned yet. He couldn't see him, maybe Sam was just to the left or right and couldn't be seen? He hoped so. However since he hadn't seen or sensed anyone else, Dean decided not to go back as there didn't seem to be a reason, but would if Sam didn't show up soon.
Fires sucked. They were killers and claimed too many innocent lives. Slowly but surely Sam made his way up, a little too late than what could be good for his health. But the other was going to be fine and to him that and that his family was safe was all that mattered. He got the lioness to safety but started coughing himself, the smoke inhalation making it harder to breath properly. Sam sank to the ground for a couple moments, still coughing as his lungs tried to get the dangerous black vapor out of them. Someone else took the other away, and he blinked the tears out of his eyes and swung his head to look for someone he knew. And there was Fawn. So he got back up to his paws and started his way over to Fawnpelt, his coughing thankfully thinning out as his breathing grew more regular. Given a bit of time he would be fine, but right now he was determined to make it to her.

Fawn swung her head around to the sound of coughing. Oh no! Her Sam! He must have absorbed too much smoke. He was trying to get to her, she realized and quickly dashed to him, taking up his side to offer support. "Hey, let's get you some place to rest." She muttered quietly, fur brushing his. Hopefully, he wouldn't deny her offer of help. Which, he probably would. Knowing him.
Alula's attention was drawn to the male she saw earlier and Fawn. Maybe that was Sam? However, the other male really caught her eye and she staggered over to him. Her fur had splotches of soot here and there but was otherwise clean. She stumbled and crashed into his leg before stumbling back again. "Sorry..." she muttered, looking up at her hero. "Thank you for saving me..." she added, suckling at things like this. Yup. A Dean thing.

The sight of Fawn rushing towards him brought a smile to his face. That girl would always make him smile. Their fur brushed, a new feeling to Sam but he couldnt help but like it. And of course he would deny the help, he knew there were others that needed it more than him, and he wanted to make sure everyone was ok first. Why? Because he was Sam. "Im fine." he insisted, though the state of his voice clearly indicated that at least right now he wasn't. He had been through worse yes, for example death, but smoke to the lungs could be a major health hazard and that fact wasn't quite getting to him right now. "Where's Dean?" he asked, possibly an attempt to change the subject, but also genuine concern for his brother.
Dean had been looking up high for his brother, which he found with Fawnpelt coughing. He was about to go over when a small form crashed into his leg, so he looked down to see the sooty cub he had saved from the fire. If he knew how, he would help clean off the rest of the soot, but he didn't. Something about her seemed familiar, but he couldn't quite place it. "It was nothing, what's your name?" the male asked, gazing down at Alula and trying too piece together the puzzle with the limited pieces he had.

Fawn lashed her tail angrily. "Your brother is fine. Now, if you don't come with me now I'll grab you by your ear and drag you with me. Enough of this 'I'm fine' nonsense, Sam!" She hissed at him, bumping her head with his chin to catch his attention again. "Argue with me again and it won't just be the smoke you'll be worried about." She added darkly before taking a step forward. She would, however, wait for him to walk with her.
Alula perked her ears. That had to be Dean, right? Nobody else sounded like him... except... maybe it wasn't him? Fawn was here so the others had to be too? For a brief moment she would swerve her attention to look for Benedict, scanning the crowd before looking back at Dean. "Alula. Alula Winchester, if you want to be exact." She spoke casually, however small her voice may be. Dang. She hated this voice. For now atleast. Wait until she grew up.
